The Compass™ Personal Voltage & Current Detector is a smart life-saving device that detects energized sources and warns users long before they are in danger of being electrocuted. It alerts users of the proximity and direction of an energized source. This wearable voltage and current detector is built with an intelligent design allowing it to be configured to nearly any work environment.

Compass™ is engineered to attach easily to the underside brim of any standard hard hat. Positioned within the user’s peripherals, it is the first product of its kind to provide viewable alerts of any unseen electrical threats. This strategic placement allows it to provide a 360° detection area around the user. Once a threat is detected, Compass™ immediately provides the user with both audible and visual notifications.

360° DEGREES OF PROTECTION

Its innovative hard hat mounted design allows Compass™ to detect sources of voltage and current coming from any direction.

Proximity Awareness

Compass™ provides alerts for the presence of both Voltage and Current long before the user is in danger of coming in contact with a threat.

Directional Awareness

In addition to proximity alerts, Compass™ also shows the approximate direction of the threat with bold and clear LEDs.

Smart Adaptive Sensitivity

Compass™ alerts users to any change in nearby electric and magnetic fields. It features seven levels of sensitivity as well as Smart Adaptive mode, which adjusts to its current environment to eliminate redundant alerts and then resume if the user moves closer to the energized source.

Recurring Sensor

Self-Test

Compass self-tests its sensor accuracy multiple times per hour. Tests are done in the background to prevent any nuisance to the user, and the heads-up-display will provide immediate notification if any issues are detected.

Flexible Power System

The Compass ™ personal voltage and current detector comes with a built-in rechargeable lithium-ion battery and uses a common 5V Micro-USB charge point. Compass™ has a 10-day battery life, charges in 1.5 hours, and has a typical life of 3-5 years before any reduction in charge capacity. 

Ideal Form factor

Compass™ is designed to be ergonomic, efficient, and intuitive with a slim low-profile housing that clips underneath the brim of any hard hat and provides LED alerts that are bright & distinct without impeding the user’s direct line of sight. 

Industrial Durability

Compass™ is IP 67 water resistant and can operate at any temperature from -20° C (-4° F) to 60° C (140° F)
