Highlights
- One required firmware update, 1.7.0.0 to 1.8.3.0. Every device that updates gets the same behavior.
- One sensitivity scale instead of three ranges. Low, Medium and High are gone. Voltage runs on a single 22-setting scale shared across the series, so a setting number means the same thing on every connected device. Compass Pro IS has no setting 22, so it runs 21 settings.
- The button does two jobs in an adaptive mode. A double press adapts the device to the field around you, about a second and a half after the press so your hands are clear. A single press puts the device in Transit.
- Transit silences the alarm, not the detection. In Transit the audible alarm and the directional indicator are off. Sensitivity never changes, and the corner LEDs still alert and still escalate as you get closer. In Transit the device has to be looked at, not listened to. A tone sounds each way, and Transit stays on until you press again.
- Emergency Response Settings have their own screen in Navigator, separate from Device Configuration Settings, and are configured independently. Adaptive minimum and maximum limits are in Advanced Configuration, on the web app only.
- Compass Core is included in this release, and with an active ERS subscription Compass Core raises emergency events. Compass G2 is not part of this release. It is unchanged, fully supported, and still on sale.
