PERSONAL VOLTAGE &
CURRENT DETECTOR
ALWAYS ON. ALWAYS AWARE. ALWAYS SAFE.
Designed for those who work in low-voltage environments
P/N: CE60LV (60Hz), CE50LV (50Hz)
The COMPASS LV® Personal Voltage & Current Detector is a lifesaving PPE that detects energized sources and alerts users to the presence of voltage and current in their environment long before they are in danger of being electrocuted. Its low-voltage detection capabilities make it an ideal choice for industrial manufacturing operations.
COMPASS LV® easily mounts under the brim of any standard hard hat. This strategic placement allows for 360° detection around the user. Once a threat is detected, the device will immediately provide the user with both audible and visual notifications.
Primary Functions
- Identifies live conductors & circuits.
- Directs residual or induced voltage.
- Identifies energized lines after power outages.
- Detects energized threats after accidents and disasters.
- Finds energized lines underground or behind non-ferrous material.

360° DEGREES OF PROTECTION
Its innovative hard-hat mounted design allows COMPASS LV® to detect sources of voltage and current coming from any direction.
Proximity Awareness
COMPASS LV® provides alerts for the presence of both voltage and current long before the user is in danger of coming in contact with a threat.
Directional Awareness
In addition to proximity alerts, COMPASS LV® shows the approximate direction of the threat with bold, clear LEDs.
ADDITIONAL FEATURES
ADDITIONAL
FEATURES
Smart Adaptive Sensitivity
COMPASS LV® alerts users to any change in nearby electric and magnetic fields. It features seven levels of sensitivity as well as Smart Adaptive mode, adjusting to its current environment to eliminate redundant alerts but resuming if the user moves closer to an energized source.

Flexible Power System
COMPASS LV® personal voltage and current has a built-in rechargeable Lithium-Ion battery offering a 10-day life, charges in 1.5 hours, and includes an easy-to-check monitor. Its power-saving features also enable the unit to conserve power without compromising detection capabilities.
Recurring Sensor
Self-Test
COMPASS LV® performs a self-test every 10 minutes to ensure that its sensors are operating correctly and accurately. Tests are performed in the background to prevent any nuisance to the user. A heads-up display provides notification if the product is not working correctly.
Industrial Durability
COMPASS LV® can operate at any temperature from -29°C (-20°F) to 60°C (140°F). It’s made with military-grade components of polycarbonate ABS material with UV resistance additives. It also received a IEC IP67 Water Resistance rating and passed the physical-shock certification. In addition, all Safeguard devices include up to a 1-year warranty.
Ideal Form factor
COMPASS LV® is designed to be ergonomic, efficient, and intuitive. It offers a slim low-profile housing that clips under the brim of any hard hat and provides bright and distinct LED alerts without impeding the user’s direct line of sight.

Attention
COMPASS LV® IS DESIGNED AS AN ADDED LAYER OF PROTECTION AGAINST ELECTRICAL CONTACT. IT’S NOT INTENDED TO REPLACE EXISTING SAFETY PROCEDURES OR PPE. ALWAYS USE PROPER HIGH-VOLTAGE PROCEDURES, INCLUDING PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT, WHEN WORKING NEAR OR AROUND HIGH-VOLTAGE EQUIPMENT OR CONDUCTORS. NEVER DIRECTLY CONTACT HIGH-VOLTAGE WITH THE COMPASS LV® PERSONAL VOLTAGE AND CURRENT DETECTOR. ALWAYS USE PROPER HIGH-VOLTAGE PROCEDURES FOR TESTING AND GROUNDING. DO NOT RELY ON COMPASS LV® AS YOUR SOLE SOURCE OF HIGH-VOLTAGE DETECTION. RISK OF ELECTROCUTION IS INHERENT AROUND HIGH VOLTAGE.
