Emergency response situation

When incidents happen, delays cost lives

Traditional emergency response relies on someone noticing the incident, making a call, and describing where they are. In remote locations or when a worker is incapacitated, that chain breaks—and response times stretch from minutes to hours.

  • Injured workers can't always call for helpFalls, electrical contact, and impacts can leave workers unable to self-report
  • Remote locations make response difficultField crews often work in areas where help is far away
  • Every minute mattersFor serious injuries, faster response directly correlates with better outcomes

Automatic incident detection that triggers immediate alerts

Safeguard's Compass Pro wearables automatically detect serious incidents and send alerts to supervisors and safety teams—without waiting for someone to make a call.

  • Fall detectionAutomatically detects slips, trips, and falls from height
  • Impact detectionIdentifies struck-by events and high-force impacts
  • Worker-down alertsDetects when a worker is motionless and unresponsive
  • Manual SOSWorkers can trigger an alert when they need help

Coordinated response with precise location

When an alert fires, Navigator shows responders exactly where the worker is and what type of incident was detected—so they can dispatch the right resources and coordinate an effective response.

  • Enhanced Location AwarenessKnow exactly where the worker is—even in remote areas
  • Multi-channel notificationsAlerts go to supervisors, safety teams, and dispatch simultaneously
  • Incident contextResponders know the type of incident before they arrive

Faster alerts. Precise location. Coordinated response. Better outcomes.

Workers with Compass Pro devices for emergency response

Compass Series

Intelligent wearables that detect incidents and trigger alerts automatically

Automatic incident detection

Compass Pro automatically detects falls, impacts, and worker-down events—triggering alerts without waiting for someone to call.

Advanced motion sensors and proprietary algorithms detect dangerous events in real-time. The Compass Pro recognizes high-impact falls, sudden impacts, prolonged motionlessness (man-down detection), and unusual motion patterns that may indicate distress. When an incident is detected, the device initiates a brief countdown—allowing workers to cancel false alarms—before automatically transmitting an emergency alert with location data to Navigator and designated responders.

Manual SOS capability

Workers can trigger an alert when they need help—ensuring they're never alone in an emergency.

Sometimes workers need help before an incident becomes detectable. The Compass Pro features an easily accessible SOS button that workers can activate when they feel threatened, witness an emergency, or need immediate assistance. A single deliberate press sends their location and an urgent alert to supervisors and safety teams. Workers gain confidence knowing help is always one button press away, even in remote or isolated work areas.

Enhanced Location Awareness

Know exactly where the worker is—even in remote areas—so responders can find them fast.

Every second counts in an emergency. The Compass Pro transmits precise GPS coordinates with every alert, enabling responders to navigate directly to the worker's location. For areas with limited GPS coverage—tunnels, dense urban environments, or indoor facilities—the device provides last-known-good coordinates and can integrate with indoor positioning systems. Location history is logged continuously, helping responders trace a worker's path if they've moved from the incident location.

Incident type classification

Responders know what type of incident occurred before they arrive—so they can dispatch the right resources.

Click to learn more

Not all emergencies are the same—and neither should be the response. The Compass Pro classifies incidents by type (fall detection, impact, man-down, SOS) and transmits this information alongside the alert. Dispatchers can immediately determine whether to send medical responders, rescue teams, or security personnel. This intelligent classification reduces response time, ensures appropriate resources are deployed, and helps responders arrive prepared for the specific situation they'll encounter.
