Overview

The User Management page in Navigator Console is where admins create and organize users into custom groups, manage roles, assign device configurations, allocate subscription seats, and remove users from the organization.

Groups

Create custom groups to divide and manage users. Users only receive emergency alerts for the group they are in. To allocate subscription seats per group, click the "Edit Group Subscriptions" button to move subscriptions between groups.

Role

Available user roles are "Mobile User", "Dispatch", and "Admin". Each role unlocks a different set of features (see Roles: Mobile User, Dispatch, and Admin for the full feature matrix).

Compass Pro Configuration

Users can be set to any Compass Pro Configuration that has been previously created. The configuration shapes which Compass settings the user can pick on their device — see Compass Pro Configurations.

Configuration Status (Confirmed / Unconfirmed)

"Unconfirmed" is shown when a new or updated configuration has been applied to a user but they have not yet acknowledged it on Navigator Mobile. Once the user acknowledges and accepts the configuration on Mobile, the status changes to "Confirmed". Configuration changes are not implemented on the device until the user confirms.

Subscribed

The Subscribed checkbox shows the subscription seat allocation for the user. If checked, the user has a subscription seat and can use subscription service features.

Remove User

Remove an existing user from the organization.

Operational pattern

  1. Create or invite with the correct role.
  2. Assign group memberships that match real crews and dispatch boundaries.
  3. Apply a Compass Pro Configuration if your organization standardizes settings.
  4. Watch the Confirmed / Unconfirmed column after configuration changes — pending acknowledgments are common after a Console-side update.
  5. Allocate seats via Edit Group Subscriptions.
  6. Disable or remove promptly on separation; recover hardware where possible before reassigning.
  7. Audit quarterly: dormant admins, stale dispatch accounts, incorrect group placement, unconfirmed configurations.
