Overview

Safeguard connects Compass Series field hardware with Navigator Mobile on phones and tablets and Navigator Console in the browser. This help center is organized by tasks - pairing, monitoring, emergencies, administration - not as a page-by-page copy of product PDFs.

Who this is for

  • Field users carrying Compass Series devices
  • Dispatchers using Navigator Console for operational visibility
  • Administrators managing users, groups, seats, and model-specific configuration

What each part does

  • Compass Series: monitors conditions and supports emergency workflows (capabilities vary by model and hardware version).
  • Navigator Mobile: pairs via Bluetooth for nearby workflows - monitoring views, tools, firmware updates, and mobile emergency participation when enabled.
  • Navigator Console: browser hub for maps, dashboards, and administration (depending on your role).

Subscription, roles, and models

Some articles call out when behavior depends on subscription, user role (Mobile User, Dispatch, Admin), or device model (Compass Core, Compass Pro, Compass Pro IS). If a menu is missing compared to a coworker, check those three first.
