Overview

Connection Lost is a Console-visible status that surfaces when a worker's Compass loses connection while they are actively using it. It is a triage signal and does not, by itself, prove personnel safety.

When it triggers

  • The user is actively wearing their Compass Series device.
  • The device loses connection for more than three minutes.

What you see in Console

  • A visual indicator on the User Dashboard.
  • A new user icon appears on the map showing that the worker has lost connection. The icon includes the time and location where the user was last seen.

How dispatch should use it

  • Correlate with wider outages vs single-user issues.
  • Attempt reachability through approved voice channels when policy demands human verification.
  • Pair with Connection Lost vs Device Offline troubleshooting to avoid mislabeling root causes.
