Device Won’t Pair with Navigator Mobile

Bluetooth pairing triage: permissions, discovery mode, competing phones, OS ghosts, and MDM constraints.

pairingbluetoothtroubleshooting

Overview

Most pairing failures trace to permissions, timed-out discovery, another phone already connected, or MDM restrictions - not defective hardware (though hardware faults happen).

Checklist

  1. Bluetooth on; Navigator Mobile has OS Bluetooth/Nearby permissions.
  2. Airplane mode off; toggle Bluetooth once if policy permits.
  3. Device in pairing mode; restart pairing if window expired.
  4. Ensure no other phone maintains an active session if your model restricts single-peer use.
  5. Forget stale OS-level pairings if your support playbook allows; re-pair starting inside Navigator Mobile.
  6. Update Navigator Mobile; retry after reboot of phone.
  7. Try a second phone to isolate phone vs device (when permitted).
