Pair a Compass Series Device with Navigator Mobile

Bluetooth pairing for Compass Series: permissions, discovery mode, verification, and avoiding wrong-device selection.

Overview

Pairing establishes trusted proximity communication between your phone/tablet and a Compass Series device. Correct pairing prevents mis-attributed telemetry during incidents and reduces support churn.

Before you begin

  • Navigator Mobile installed from an approved source
  • Bluetooth enabled; OS permissions granted
  • Device charged; ideally only one Compass unit nearby for first-time pairing

Pairing steps

  1. Sign inOpen Navigator Mobile and authenticate with the account your administrator provisioned.
  2. Enter pairing mode on the deviceUse the model-specific pairing method; many modes time out - restart pairing if discovery ends.
  3. Start Add / Pair in the appChoose the identifier that matches the physical label on the device.
  4. Complete OS Bluetooth promptsAccept pairing when prompted; on some OS versions, permissions must be set to allow nearby device access.
  5. VerifyConfirm stable presence, readable monitoring tabs when entitled, and diagnostics/version info if shown.
