Overview

Once a Compass Series device is paired, the screen changes to a tabbed view: Voltage, Current, and Tools. The Compass battery level is shown at the top of the screen.

Alert Level Line

Each of the Voltage and Current tabs shows an Alert Level Line — the threshold above which the device begins alerting for that detection method. The position of the line tracks the active sensitivity setting.

Per-tab controls

  • Sensitivity Setting — sets how readily the device alerts in this detection method.
  • Alert Disable — toggles alerting for this detection method off (where permitted).
  • Smart Adaptive — toggles Smart Adaptive Mode for this detection method (Compass Pro and Pro IS only).
  • Mute — toggles audible alerts off without disabling detection.

Typical navigation

  1. Open the paired device detail view; verify you selected the correct unit.
  2. Open the Voltage tab; note the Alert Level Line and the current sensitivity setting.
  3. Open the Current tab; interpret using the procedures your organization trains on.
  4. If data looks stale, verify Bluetooth connection and whether the device entered a low-power state — the Compass heartbeat color (green vs white) tells you whether connectivity is intact.
