Overview

Emergency Service Settings in Navigator Mobile is a focused page of toggles that control which Compass-side detections are armed and whether the SOS button beeps during its countdown. It is not the same as the operating system's phone, SMS, or notification permissions.

What this page contains

  • Compass SOS Button Countdown Sound — when disabled, the Compass does not beep while the user is holding the SOS button. The 3-second hold still applies, but it can be triggered discreetly.
  • Head Impact Detection — toggles automatic impact-event detection.
  • Fall Detection — toggles automatic fall-event detection.
  • Arc Flash Detection — toggles automatic arc-flash-event detection.

Validate configuration

  1. Open Account Settings → Emergency Service Settings in Navigator Mobile.
  2. Verify each toggle matches your organization's policy for this user and worksite.
  3. Run supervised drills to confirm the chosen toggles match real responder expectations — never place live false calls to public safety.
  4. If settings are locked, an admin has applied a Compass Pro Configuration from Navigator Console; involve the admin to change it.
