Use the Tools Tab

The Tools tab exposes firmware version, Voltage Range selection, and the connected device with a disconnect option.

Overview

The Tools tab gathers status and adjustment for additional Compass Series settings. It is the canonical location for firmware updates, voltage-range selection, and disconnecting one Compass to pair another.

What the Tools tab contains

  • Compass Series Device Firmware Version — when an update is available, the option to update appears here.
  • Voltage Range — selectable Low / Medium / High for Compass Pro and Compass Pro IS. Compass Core does not have selectable ranges.
  • Devices — identifies the currently connected Compass and provides a Disconnect option to unpair, so you can connect to a different device.

Safe usage pattern

  1. Open Tools from the device context in Navigator Mobile.
  2. Read warnings before actions that interrupt monitoring (firmware updates, range changes).
  3. Perform changes in a maintenance window when supervision requires it.
  4. After completion, verify the device returns to expected monitoring posture (heartbeat color and Voltage / Current tab readings).
