Record model, serial identifiers, and hardware revision before firmware changes or support escalations.

Overview

Firmware compatibility, LED interpretation, and troubleshooting paths frequently depend on model and hardware revision. Structured identification prevents wrong guidance.

What to collect

  1. Photograph or transcribe the device label in good lighting (follow privacy rules for asset photos).
  2. Record model family: Compass Core, Compass Pro, or Compass Pro IS.
  3. Record serial and any separate hardware revision field if present.
  4. From Navigator Mobile when paired, capture firmware/app diagnostics screens your build exposes.
  5. From Navigator Console (Admin), capture inventory fields if your org tracks units centrally.
