Overview

Wrong mounting increases false alarms and false confidence. Follow your model guide for intended orientation, clearances, and harness/PPE compatibility.

Mounting checklist

  1. Choose an approved location that preserves intended sensor geometry relative to the hazard context.
  2. Secure mechanically so the device cannot snag, release unexpectedly, or interfere with rescue/egress.
  3. Keep indicators and emergency controls reachable; avoid blocking charging ports needed for maintenance windows.
  4. After relocation, re-verify pairing/monitoring behavior - mechanical changes can alter readings in some setups.
