Overview
Wrong mounting increases false alarms and false confidence. Follow your model guide for intended orientation, clearances, and harness/PPE compatibility.
Mounting checklist
- Choose an approved location that preserves intended sensor geometry relative to the hazard context.
- Secure mechanically so the device cannot snag, release unexpectedly, or interfere with rescue/egress.
- Keep indicators and emergency controls reachable; avoid blocking charging ports needed for maintenance windows.
- After relocation, re-verify pairing/monitoring behavior - mechanical changes can alter readings in some setups.
